COFFEE BRAISED SHORT RIBS

Pre-heat oven to 350°. Salt and pepper meat. Place garlic, tomato paste, coffee, and stock in blender and blend until smooth. About 5 seconds.

Heat oil in large pot and brown meat on all sides. Drain off grease and add wine. Boil for a minute. Pour coffee mixture over meat. Add kecap manis, onion, celery, and carrot. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 ½ to 2 hours until meat is tender. Add more water if liquid is getting too thick. Serve with egg noodles or white rice, and a spoonful of horseradish cream.

Horseradish Cream

Blend all ingredients for about 4 seconds. Cream should start to thicken.
